As we were walking
This might sound weird, but I like it. Nikki and I were walking around Colton's hill because he had to walk his dog, so we went with him. On our way back to Colton's house, Nikki and I both noticed a spider web. As we walked by it, Nikki didn't seem too excited but I said "I think spider webs are really cool looking." Nikki said, "Yeah, but there's a huge, gross spider in that one." I started to say this idea I had and then I stopped instead to say, "Oh dang, I almost said something really profound just now." Nikki finally got my super profound statement out of me. (Haha, don't get too excited guys. Seriously.) My idea when she said the statement about the "gross spider" was, "The web wouldn't be nearly as beautiful without the creator there." Then we got to thinking about how that idea could be said in relation to God and the world and our lives and it was a pretty nice conversation, but I'll leave you to think about the statement on your own, rather than me tell you what Nik and I came up with. I think more beauty will come from the spider and it's web if YOU think about it.
By the way,
Today was a really good day. Church band hang-out, bowling and such, seeing Allison and putting pictures all over her desk area at the office, Colton's house to hang out, you know "play pool" with Nikki and watch a sweet ventriliquist comedian guy, and finally Nikki's to eat the best tacos ever created by a mom and watch some of the Family Guy movie. All with some of my favorite kids, too, so that's nice. :)
